Asif Qamar

Born in Firozabad, India, and raised in Pakistan, Asif is an Electrical Engineer with a distinguished career in WAPDA, KESC, and Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity, including Masdar’s Shams Solar Project. Now in Canada, he is dedicated to community service, art, music, and building lasting friendships.
Mazhar Shamsi

Former Karachi-based businessman, now working with a reputed company in Toronto, Canada. Migrated to Mississauga in 2003 and has been actively engaged in community work. Joined Friends of Karachi in 2023, contributing his experience and dedication to the cause.

Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Karachi. Joined government service at the Central Excise and Customs, Karachi Collectorate, serving in various roles. Retired as an IRS Officer after a distinguished career.
Hyder Ali

Electrical & Electronic Engineer with over 25 years in senior telecom roles across Pakistan, UAE, and Canada. Worked with PAKCOM, PAKTEL, Zong, Ericsson, and Transworld. Moved to Canada in 2022 and launched BOLANpass, serving authentic Pakistani cuisine. Joined Friends of Karachi to actively contribute to community service.
Masood Akhtar

Chief Technology Officer at PLC Group Canada with 25+ years in telecom engineering, operations, and solution design. A graduate in Electronics from NED University, has held leadership roles at SITA/Equant, Cybernet, and PeopleLogic.
Masood is an active member of the Friends of Karachi community.
Kashif Anwar

Finance professional with 20+ years’ experience in banking, mortgages, and ERP systems across Canada and the UAE. Holds an MBA in Finance, a Mortgage Agent License, and is fluent in five languages.
Has worked with BMO, TD, ABN AMRO, and Union National Bank, and now supports Friends of Karachi.
Syed Asif Hasnain

Syed Asif Hasnain, born in Karachi in 1964, holds an LLB from S.M. Law College and a BA in Arts from Karachi University. He served as Town Nazim of Landhi Korangi from 2005 to 2008. He was elected as a Member of the National Assembly for two consecutive terms from 2008 to 2018. He joined Friends of Karachi to continue serving the community.
